Through the years, since the early 80s, Absolut have done all kinds of proud activities, including the first spirits bottle ever to wear the rainbow flag, which was made in collaboration with Gilbert Baker, the designer behind the original flag. The rainbow flag represents the diverse voices of the LGBTQ community coming together, celebrating difference in unity. Now, when the rainbow flag is about to turn 40, the time has come to give the rainbow a permanent place in the Absolut portfolio. This time with brush strokes, screen-printed on the glass, creating a strong connection to the creative artists that have been inspired by the Absolut bottle in the past. Absolut Rainbow Edition is limited in volume, but not in time. Consume what's on the inside moderately, but please be anything but moderate when spreading the message on the outside! Taking pride in diversity, is what the world needs, now more than ever.
From Absolut: “Since the early 1980's, Absolut have been supporting the LGBTQ community. It is our firm belief that a colourful, diverse and respectful world is something to strive and work for. Everybody should be able to be, exactly who they are.â€
Absolut is a Swedish Vodka made from water and winter wheat - no added sugar like lots of Vodkas out there. It therefore tastes very clean, but is also full-flavoured, full-bodied, complex, smooth and mellow. You can taste the grain and then a touch of dried fruit. The water used in Absolut comes from a deep well on the distillery estate in Ã…hus, so it's extremely pure. The winter wheat is sown in the autumn (also on the distillery estate) and harvested the following one, producing a hard grain with a deeper flavour.
