Lot 40 Rye Whisky 70cl 43% ABV

£29.95

Lot 40 was a plot of land occupied by one of the ancestors of Mike Booth, the now-retired Master Distiller responsible for creating this whisky. Proud of his distilling heritage, he paid homage to his ancestry by naming this rye-heavy whisky for the spot where his family set up their first Canadian still many generations ago.

Earthy rye kicks in right away, backed up by caramel, fig and flamed orange peel on the nose. The palate is softly floral to start, leading into cardamom pod and peppery coriander. Crunchy brown sugar and fresh vanilla pod sweetness. The finish is classic rye spiciness lingers.
