Catena Alta Chardonnay is an assemblage of historic rows within the Catena family state vineyards.

The blend of these historic rows, produces a highly aromatic and elegant wine that speaks for the terroir and the vines. Tended by the four generations of the Catena Family.

At almost 5,000 feet elevation in the Andean foothills. The Adrianna vineyard's calcareous soils and cool climate are the promised land of Chardonnay. The fruit from the Adrianna vineyard has a purity of flavours and a minerality. Which is not found anywhere else in Mendoza, Argentina.

Catena is a name synonymous with Argentinian wine. In 1902 original founder Nicola Catena, planted his first Malbec vineyard and as a result development and fine wine production has ensued.

Nicolas Catena, grandson of Nicola, has pioneered planting at high altitude with many of the vineyards located at c. 5,000ft. This cool and arid climate in the foothills of the Andes has proved to be the perfect location for a range of single vineyard Malbec’s, Cabernet and Chardonnay.
