The grapes for Papa Figos are from selected sites at around 600 metres in altitude. The plots are selected due to their suitability for optimal maturation with hot days and cool evenings bringing out the fresh fruit character of the grapes. The 2016 vintage was mild and dry quickly changing into constant and heavy rain and a sharp decrease in temperature. The wine went through careful fining and filtering before bottling to preserve the fresh fruit character.
Lemon yellow in colour with some golden tints, this wine is aromatic with some lovely floral, tropical and herbaceous qualities on the nose. The palate is well structured with a long and persistent finish.
