From the heart of Napa Valley’s Oakville AVA, this Cabernet Franc is a pure expression of its hillside terroir. The Oakville Ranch vineyard sits on elevated terrain with rocky, well-drained soils and southern exposure, ideal for growing this finicky grape. Warm days and cool nights allow for slow ripening, resulting in wines with depth, elegance, and structure. The 2015 vintage was organically farmed and crafted with minimal intervention to preserve the vineyard’s natural character.

Gallica is the vision of winemaker Rosemary Cakebread, whose experience at Spottswoode and other Napa icons informs her artisanal approach. Named after an ancient apothecary rose, Gallica wines are known for their aromatic precision and graceful power. This Cabernet Franc was aged in French oak and bottled without fining or filtration, showcasing the winery’s commitment to purity and site expression.
