Gosset Petite Douceur Rosé is classified as Extra Dry, often seen to be a confusing term as it's sweeter than Brut Champagne. With enticing notes of strawberry cheesecake, this is simply delicious.
This cuvee is salmon-pink in colour. It has a beautiful effervescence with a string of fine bubbles. On the nose, flavours of ripe strawberry followed by raspberry. On the finish and once the wine has warmed up slightly, notes of quince, blood orange and verbena are revealed. The well-balanced palate is dominated by notes of strawberry, raspberry but also pink grapefruit and lemon.
Its perfectly well balanced dosage makes it the perfect accompaniment for sweet and sour dishes, desserts and tea parties. Ideal with a raspberry or mandarin macaroon, small fruit tarts or a chilled souffle with pink grapefruit.
