Veuve Clicquot Extra Brut Extra Old Champagne 75cl 12% ABV
An exceptionally high-quality Champagne, Bright, refreshing and very dry, supremely refined and complex, with notes of flowers, dried fruit and toasted brioche.
Extra Brut Extra Old is a complex and rare formulation, composed of six of the House’s most prestigious Old Reserve Wines spanning harvests from 1988 to 2010. All the wines have been made from fruit sourced entirely from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards and have undergone extended cellarage. The delicate and fresh character of the Champagne stems in part from a low dosage, but also the fact that the bubbles are very fine from this extended ageing.
Veuve Clicquot Extra Brut Extra Old Champagne is Veuve Clicquot's its first ever “official” low-dosage cuvée. Created by Cellar Master Dominique Demarville, it is composed of six of the House’s most prestigious Old Reserve Wines: 1988, 1996, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. It undergoes a double-ageing process spending 3 years in vats, and 3 more years in bottle, allowing the purest essence to come to the fore. This blend of rich and low complex wines comes with the exceptionally low dosage of 3 g/l, placing the blend in the Extra Brut category, which is used for Champagne with 6g/l of sugar or lower.
A nuanced blend of intensity, depth and freshness, Extra Brut Extra Old is extracted from Yellow Label, and is visually and conceptually combined with Yellow Label, representing a convergence of the purity of Veuve Clicquot’s Reserve Wines and the creativity of the cellarmaster.
